Why I built this
Learning sign language shouldn't feel like guesswork
Existing vocabulary apps are built for text and audio — flash a word, hear it, move on. They give sign-language learners no way to record a sign, and no way to know if they're doing it right. For a visual, spatial language like BSL, that's more than an inconvenience — it makes effective practice nearly impossible.
Signwise aims to close that gap. Upload your own sign videos, practice in front of your camera, and get instant, AI-driven feedback on your hand shape and motion — so every minute you spend studying actually moves you forward.
What's inside
Everything you need to learn BSL
Smart flashcards
Build custom decks or import shared ones. Each card pairs a word with a reference sign video.
AI sign practice
Your camera tracks your hands in real time and scores accuracy against the reference — for shape and motion.
Test mode
Put your signs to the test and get an accuracy score, plus feedback on hands and facial expressions.
Spaced repetition
Cards you struggle with resurface sooner; the ones you know get spaced out. Retain more with less effort.
